This route connects two very different places in one long day. First, a tough rocky climb up to the Assy Plateau at 2,750 meters — wide open alpine meadows where nomads set up yurts in summer and the astrophysical observatory domes sit on the horizon. You cross the plateau and then the route drops sharply into thick forest, eventually leading to the 55-meter Kairak waterfall. The contrast between the open steppe above and the dark forest below is striking. Campfire lunch along the way. You'll be tired by the end.
Helmet, balaclava, body armor with arm protection, knee pads (worn over your pants), jersey, and gloves.
Water, windbreaker jacket (depending on weather), thick pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.

"The Assy Plateau feels like Mongolia — endless grasslands at 2800m. Riding through herds of wild horses is an unforgettable moment."
Олег Г."The plateau at 2,800m is so flat and empty it messes with your depth perception. Wild horses everywhere. Then the descent into Kairak gorge is a completely different ride, steep and rocky. Two tours in one."
