Sur-Ron Light Bee X
Light & Easy
55 kg, easy to handle, forgiving on mistakes. The bike most beginners start on. Good for forest trails and learning the basics.

Bektau-Ata is a failed volcano - magma that never reached the surface, now exposed as pink granite after millions of years of erosion. It rises out of the flat steppe like something from another planet. Smooth, layered rock formations, deep grottos, small freshwater pools hidden in the crevices. Riding here isn't normal enduro - it's rock crawling. Tires grip the granite well enough to climb at angles that look impossible. At night you sleep in tents under a sky with zero light pollution. One of the most unusual landscapes in Central Asia.
Helmet, balaclava, body armor with arm protection, knee pads (worn over your pants), jersey, and gloves.
Water, a windbreaker or jacket (depending on the weather), durable pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.

"Two-day expedition to Bektau-Ata was the best adventure of my life. Granite mountains in the steppe - like finding Mars on Earth."
Дамир О."Day one you ride through pink granite that looks like it melted and refroze. Day two you wake up in the middle of the steppe with zero light pollution. I could see the Milky Way with my bare eyes."

Same start as Kok-Zhailau, but instead of turning back, you keep climbing. Rocky trail to 2,500m with views down onto Shymbulak and Medeu that most people never see.

Up through the forest to Kok-Zhailau, back along the razor-thin mountain ridge. Drops on both sides. Requires steady nerves and good balance.

12-million-year-old canyon. You ride down into it on red sand, through rock towers carved by wind, to the Charyn River at the bottom. At sunset the cliffs glow.
