Arctic Leopard XT 620
Light but Strong
80 kg with 600 Nm - light enough to maneuver on narrow trails, powerful enough to climb steep grades. A good step up from the Sur-Ron.

This combines the 5 Peaks route with the crumbling ridgeline traverse to Bukreev Peak - back to back, no breaks. You'll drop the bike constantly. In some sections, bikes have to be passed person-to-person up rock walls where tires have zero traction. The air is thin, the rock is loose, and by hour 10 your arms are useless. Dawn to dusk. If you complete this, you've done the hardest single-day ride we offer. Most people who sign up for this one have been riding with us for months.
Helmet, balaclava, body armor with arm protection, knee pads (worn over your pants), jersey, and gloves.
Water, a windbreaker or jacket (depending on the weather), durable pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.

"12 hours combining Bukreev Peak with the Five Peaks route. This is the ultimate test. Only attempted it because the guide insisted I was ready."
Тимофей Г."12 hours. I've done trail marathons and this was harder. The second half is where it breaks you because the Bukreev section is all above 3,000m and your body is already spent. I sat at the finish and didn't move for 20 minutes."

Level 9. Climb to Tereshkova (3,200m), then ride straight down through Gorelnik - 1,500m of vertical descent. Brakes overheat. Front wheel washes out on wet roots. Terrifying.

Level 9. The tourist trail ends at the first lake. Getting to the second lake on a bike means horse trails, fallen trees, and icy river crossings. Camping option.

Level 9. Over the Talgar Pass (3,163m), down into a wild gorge on the other side. Bear tracks. Glacial rivers. No quick way back. Elite-level riding.
