Sur-Ron Light Bee X
Light & Easy
55 kg, easy to handle, forgiving on mistakes. The bike most beginners start on. Good for forest trails and learning the basics.

The trail follows an exposed mountain ridge and keeps throwing steeper and steeper hills at you. No rocks here - it's all hard-packed dirt, which means the challenge is body position and throttle control. Electric bikes are perfect for this: instant torque, no gear shifts, just point and go. The guide will help you tackle the harder sections. At the rest stop there's a bench with a mountain view and clean air. If you're feeling brave, try the 'bump' - a steep hill that local enduro riders use as a benchmark.
Transfer is not included. Travel to the start yourself by taxi or public transport. We send you the starting point before the ride.
Helmet, balaclava, body armor with arm protection, knee pads (worn over your pants), jersey, and gloves.
Water, a windbreaker or jacket (depending on the weather), durable pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.

"The waterfall at the end is worth every minute of the ride! Butakovka gorge is so green and lush. The guide knew perfect photo spots."
Ирина М."Nice half-day escape from the city. The trail has some rocky sections that add excitement. Good intro to mountain biking terrain."
Chris B.
12 km of mountain road carved into the cliffs, tied by local history to Japanese internees of the 1940s. Smooth dirt, tree canopy overhead, views of the city below. Ends with tea on the roof of an abandoned ski lift.

15 minutes from the city and you're climbing through forest on rocky dirt. At the top - a wide plateau with a view of all of Almaty. We drink tea up there.

Leave the mountains - ride the steppe. Sand, dust, speed. Buddhist carvings cut into black cliffs in the 17th century. Lunch by the river. Flat-out ride home.
