Sur-Ron Light Bee X
Light & Easy
55 kg, easy to handle, forgiving on mistakes. The bike most beginners start on. Good for forest trails and learning the basics.

This trail was carved into the mountainside by Japanese prisoners of war in the mid-20th century. It wraps gently around the slopes of Ile-Alatau National Park - no steep climbs, no rough off-road. The canopy keeps you cool, and the electric motor keeps things quiet enough to hear birds. Views open up over the gorges and down to Almaty. Good route for getting comfortable on the bike before trying anything harder. We finish with tea on the roof of an old abandoned ski lift building.
Helmet, balaclava, body armor with arm protection, knee pads (worn over your pants), jersey, and gloves.
Water, a windbreaker or jacket (depending on the weather), durable pants, and comfortable closed-toe shoes.

"Nobody told me about this trail before. Japanese Road winds through the national park, smooth dirt, thick forest canopy, zero other people. My brain went quiet for the first time in months."
Аня С."Short but sweet. Perfect for a morning ride. The trail is well-maintained and the forest scenery is calming. Great for beginners."

First time on an electric dirt bike? Start here. Paved serpentine through spruce forest to a turquoise glacial lake at 2,511m. The road is closed to cars - you ride in silence.

130-hectare forest inside the city. Dirt paths, small hills, training ramps. The safest place to try a dirt bike for the first time - no mountains required.

15 minutes from the city and you're climbing through forest on rocky dirt. At the top - a wide plateau with a view of all of Almaty. We drink tea up there.
